Halloween 2008

Well, you'll have to excuse the pictures tonight. We were a little frazzled getting everyone ready in time to go and then trying to get everyone to sit still for the shot was almost impossible, so some, if not all, are a bit fuzzy. Here's the re-cap:

Kyra & Megan = bouquets of flowers...

Jacob = Who else but Indiana Jones with his whip and theme music!

Ethan = a pony...which was great when he decided to crawl!

Grandma Anderson = Grandma to 4 adorable kiddos!

The kids went to a few neighborhoods and managed to fill a large mixing bowl when they were done...not bad for 45 minutes!

Kyra's Birthday

Kyra turned 7 years old ont the 29th of October. She had a small party with friends and family and we had cake and ice cream and watched her open her presents. She had to have a "Hannah Montana" cake so I let a bakery make it instead of me. She had a blast with everyone it was nice to have a get together.

The all important, must-have, can't live without Hannah Montana cake.

When we were done with the party, Ethan decided to have some fun with Jon and Uncle Josh. He gave the party a "thumb's up!"

I find it funny the little things that the kids come up with and actually say. Jon and I are always amazed at how their minds work.

Today at lunch I made spaghetti and the kids and I were sitting at the table talking and eating. Kyra had eaten 3/4 of her plate of spaghetti and then she announced that her stomach had two parts and that she had filled the food part. I asked her what the other part was for and she proudly announced that the second part of her stomach was for dessert.

The last couple of days Jacob has been stuck on the phrase "2 hours". Everything is "2 hours". I was in the shower for 2 hours and Jon was gone for 2 hours (he is typically gone for 13.5 hours) and he played for 2 hours and the cookies were in the oven for 2 hours. Their cousin Laci broke her wrist and her leg from falling off of a horse and when we asked Jacob how long the casts should be on...yup, "2 hours". It's even funnier because he has been losing his voice for the past couple of days and when he talks he sounds like a 13 year old boy going through puberty trapped in a 2 year old's body.

Bunk Beds

Christmas came early for the girls. They got a brand new set of bunk beds and they LOVE them! Jon and I put them together and Jacob loves climbing on them! In fact, Jacob keeps asking for his bunk beds. Oh the joy.
