Jon and I are going to be celebrating our 10th anniversary in august. We are going on a 2 night getaway somewhere. My mom is going to come over and stay with the kids while we escape to some "us time". Anyone have any ideas on what we could do? We're trying to keep the cost down and just enjoy time with each other.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

Lost Lake is an awesome place. It's about a 45 minute drive from Hood River...so it would be approaching a three hour drive for you guys. You probably know about it already, but we really enjoyed our time there last year. They have cabins you can reserve - they've got a unabomber feel to them but once you get past that they're kind of fun. Row boat/paddle boat rentals came with the cabin rental [with coupon of course! :)] There are also rooms to rent above the lodge, but they're more spendy. If you're not into camping, there are some cute hotels in Hood River and then you could get a day use pass for a trip to the lake and there's TONS of great hiking through the gorge also.
