Kyra's Solo (not to brag too much)

Last week Kyra and Megan were invited to sing a duet in church today. When we got around to practicing with the piano on Friday, we decided it would be better if Kyra sang the song by herself. Well, this morning in Sacrament meeting Kyra walked right up to the pulpit, looked at the piano then looked at the crowd and sang her song. It was "Can a Little Child Like Me" (page 9 in the Primary songbook). She sang both verses wonderfully. She was in perfect rhythm with the piano and hit all the notes correctly. The way the practicing went we weren't sure how well she'd do, but she pulled it off. In fact, it was also our ward conference and so all of the Stake auxilleries were there as well. When she was done she got to shake hands with the Bishop, the Satke President and the Bishop's counselors. The Stake President told her and the crowd how impressed he was with her too. When I asked her about it later, she said that she looked out and it was like no one was in the chairs and so the crowd didn't bother her at all. (That's good because we went into the overflow quite a bit today.)
