6 Tuesdays
We have 6 more Mondays and 6 more Tuesdays left in Hermiston. Things are slowing moving in to place. Next week Jon and I are leaving the kids with My sister Becky and Brother-in-law Ben and we're headed to Pueblo to go house hunting. I'm a tad nervous, but oh so excited! Hopefully I'll take lots of pictures and we we'll be able to come home saying that we found the perfect house for us! It's all becoming more real as it gets closer!

3 months
A lot is going to happen in the next 3 months. In 3 months, we will have packed up our family and moved 1200 miles SE to Pueblo, Colorado. In 3 months I will have gone through all of our belongings and sorted them into 3 categories: keep, give, trash. I will have conducted in Relief Society for the first time ever. I will have taught on the first Sunday of Relief Society for the first time ever. Jon and I will attempt to purchase our first home and quit being renters. I say attempt because we are scared out of our minds with the thought of that, let alone, the actual process. In 3 months I will be missing some of the best friends I have ever made. These friends feel like family...they are family. They have been there through rants and raves and long rambles. We've seen babies born, and loved ones pass away together. I feel as though a part of me is stuck here and doesn't want to leave.
Maybe it's because I've learned so much while we've been here. I feel that I have learned who I am as a person, a wife, a mother, a church member. I like who I am! I had been so lost for so long and it is here that I found myself. I have learned to appreciate my children more and for what my Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I have a fabulous husband who loves me and forgives my shortfalls. I have intelligent, good kids who are naive to the evil around, but smart enough to know it exists.
I really didn't want to move to Hermiston almost 5 years ago. I tried very hard to adjust, and it did take a while. I only wish now that I would have let my guard down sooner.
I know that the Lord loves each of us and if we obey, He will guide and direct us. When we follow His plan, we are blessed. I know that I have been blessed. I have opened my heart and my mind to new possibilities and new friendships. Now I must follow the lessons that I have learned and apply them again in my life when we start a new adventure in Colorado. I know I am never a lone and through the blessed invention of the internet, I will be able to keep in touch with my friends and loved ones.
The road is full of bumps and dips, but if we stay true to the course, we will make it to our destination.
So...why am I sitting here? I need to get a move on and go through a lot more stuff!!!

Busy month so far
We've been busy this month of May! Jacob turned 6, the end of track season, kindergarten plays, Scout camp-out, Mother's Day, new church calling...all within the first 2 weeks!
Here are a couple of pictures that I remembered to take to document some of the happenings!
The activities without pictures included Jon's camp-out he organized for the Varsity Scouts. They had a lot of fun even though they didn't have a big turn out...(EFY took presidence) and they all want to do it again!
On Mother's Day, I was released from my 3 callings in the Ward: Activity Days Leader, Visiting Teaching Coordinator, and Relief Society Instructor. I had about 30 seconds of relaxation and then was called and sustained as 1st counselor in the new Relief Society presidency. It was a shocker, but I'm excited to work with our new president and the other sisters in the presidency.
Oh! We also found out that we DO have a job in Pueblo, Colorado......we just don't know when Jon starts. That part is still in negotiation. So looks like we'll be headed back to the Rocky Mountains!
